As I have said before the Derby that this is a very down year for the three year old crop. Right now it looks like only 10 will run in the Belmont. The big problem is that they are all closers. Only 2 of these horse have lead a race after the second call and only time each, as 2 year olds in much shorter races. The good news is the opportunity to win big cash is very possible. There is 6 days for an owner or trainer to enter a speed horse but everyone seems to standing on the sidelines. The Belmont purse is great but adds nothing to future breeding$$

Our recruiting class is way more talented
. I would take a Melton and Clarke exacta box and 10 on Vretman to win.
.

Desormeaux is in rehab again. Guy has really struggled to stay sober in his career. I saw him ride blitzed at Del Mar. He has taken more drugs than Steve Asmussen's horses. Word is he will be out of rehab and ready for the Belmont. Will the betting public care?

52, We have some Florida type speed on the horizon with guys like this. If we can sign some big beef to lead the way our long wait for a triple crown program may happen...

Guess I'll try Creator again.

Exaggerator has a better chance of passing his drug test than his jockey. Maybe they can get Sharapova to take his mounts when he fails the next time and there will be a next time.

In Kent's case it's the bottle. Those tests are tough on little people.

On tv.com's grid for Saturday, the description for The Belmont is:

Angus McNae and James Willoughby present California Chrome's attempt to join the pantheon of triple crown winners.

I really hope we see another TC this year.

These competitions are so equine-oriented. They should allow cheetahs, buffalo, giraffe, etc. to have a chance to win these races. Oh sure, the camels race once in awhile. But that's just a gimmick.

Found redemption in Creator. I wheeled him in the exacta (2 x - cost $48)but would have done better if Lani finished second. I had a Creator- Lani-All trifecta. That would have made by day. As it was not a bad payout.

I hit one race all day. I did pick Flosted in a win which was nice. But other than that I couldn't hit anything. What a ride by Irad Ortiz on Creator. Talk about a jockey winning a race. Happy for Asmussen who in my opinion is a dam good trainer. Very small crowd today at Belmont. White House is spot on, without a triple crown threat the crowd dwindles a Belmont.

A few months ago I went to Aqueduct for the Wood Memorial (rainy day) and I was on fire, winning 6 races on the card. Since then I've been cold as ice.

Didn't follow and accidently missed raced but congrats to Husky. You stuck by your horse. Boy what a difference a year makes-last year was there w Piscataway Mike and brother in one of the greatest sports events ever. Was still watching Pharoah hughlights vas of last night and now Kentucky is advertising farm tours (Coolmore tour and wait list sold oiut into July)

Frosted was incredible today. Didn't have to chase American Pharaoh and his winning time was off the charts.

Asmussen's strategy worked perfectly. Gettysburg set a nice enough pace to close into and Ortiz rode a perfect race saving ground. Grey was the color of the day in the Belmont and Tapit continues to amaze.

Gov Malibu had a good run going up the rail til he got cut off. Would've very much been in the mix

Joel Rosario had a great day on the undercard and got me thinking that Gov Malibu might be in play in the exotics. And he was.
