Maybe "Brian's Song"
"We Are Marshall" wasn't about football but it was watchable

"All the Right Moves " isn't great but it did capture how crappy 70s/80s HS football could be.
Lots of abusive coaching hiding behind Junction Boys/Lombardi cliches (not a great guy)
Rudy was well done but its not really about football the sport per se

I'd also add Friday Night Lights (the movie version).

Funny thing is I loved Field of Dreams when it first came out. But now I can't sit thru any showing without thinking how overly sappy it is.

Great list but I would place Secretariat in as the horse racing movie and Any Given Sunday as the football movie.
