OT- Bogg's attorney goes on the offensive

Cry me a river Andre Boggs. Your mamas tears in court won't prove you innocent of being a street criminal. Just come up with the 300K bail and you can walk around like the rest of the good citizens of NJ.

Something tells me that this is not Boggs first rodeo.

Did you actually read the article?

Wow, looks like the prosecutor has a real dilemma here. Take the thief or the drug dealers off the street...tough choice. If he goes after the drug dealers, his witnesses credibility is shot and he loses the case against the thieves. Looks like Boggs has a way out, especially since no one saw his face just identified him by his voice and his walk.

A defense attorney advocating for his client makes you rethink his clients involvement?

okayyyyyy

No previous criminal record means that he's not a criminal in these cases ? Then why the high bail with no 10% option ?

Are you in favor of him being reinstated with the team ? Tell us how you really feel.

Except his reputation at Avon and once he arrived here was shat. It was so bad, other guys didn't want to even room with him during camp because they didn't want anything to do with his shenanigans.

Try again...

The attorney made valid points. It makes me wonder also if he was actually involved. I guess we have to wait for the evidence.

As far as a I know, the drug dealers have not been charged with any crime, so the prosecutor does not have that dilemma.

The issue is that the police & prosecutor are allowing drug dealers to roam free because they're star witnesses against the invaders. Arrest em all.

I can't help but feel sorry for him reading that letter from the little kid he helped.

The attorney is my brother's best friend. I have known Jim since he was about 12 years old. Classy guy from a classy family. Jim was a Bergen County prosecutor for years. He is only doing what a good attorney should do for his client. BTW - His family has had Giants season tickets for decades and his son is going to Rutgers next year. I try not to hold it against him that he went to Seton Hall.

The bail of 300, 000 does seem very high. The Linden Police Officer who drove drunk the wrong way in Staten Island got bail of 25,000 today.

Help wanted. Part time work, mostly evenings. The job will require some traveling, sometimes on foot. Need to be strong and menacing. Will require some cold weather gear to wear over face. Self defense hardware a plus. If qualified please respond to D.Mastriana.

okayyyyyy

In terms of stuff you hear from juries that is mild.

It's classic misdirection, oh the problem is the kid who sells weed not the guy who robs him at gunpoint..makes sense

So they let the alleged mastermind out on $500,000/10% deal but a guy that was identified by gate and voice can't get a similar deal because his families property is out of state (I think that is the real issue). That seems a bit unfair. Add in the DUI cop's bail and.....

My Internet law degree probably isn't the best, but I'm almost certain that steadfastly maintaining your client's innocence is important if you're a defense attorney.

Black people get harsher bail than white people. It's just a fact of life.

What happened with the cop is outrageous, but let me reiterate...

Other people did it is not a defense. Ever.

What valid point was made about his innocence?
Not one thing in the article even mentions or suggests his innocense.
That they have a drug dealer as his star witness. That the perpetrators had on masks. I never stated that he was innocent, however, I stated that it makes me wonder if he was involved. Like I said I will wait for the evidence.

What will he do for a living when he gets out? He has to be kept out of the life of crime but what else will there be now?

I thought of one thing, he can give lectures in high schools about living a clean life. Or maybe he can start his own small business.

But Dre is more of a flight risk, the Linden Police Officer doesn't run the 40 in 4.39,

One of the undercurrents that runs through this case is the obvious (or maybe not so obvious) implication that New Brunswick is a shithole. Historically, it's been repeatedly suggested that there's rampant corruption within the NBPD. From my own experience as an off-campus undergrad many years ago, it was well known that New Brunswick cops owned a large percentage of the houses in the 5th and 6th that were rented to students and that they were paying off the building inspectors. Is it completely out of the question that there are drug dealers operating on the periphery of the RU campus that are, at the very least, known to the NBPD? I think not.

That doesn't mean that Boggs and his buddies are innocent. What it *could* mean is that there are elements of this story that are much more complex than the headlines reveal.

Oh... Boggs effed up for real and deserves punishment but his legal team is making it known that there is more to the story. Seems like he is singing better than Luther Vandross.

I'll not argue with the shithole perception, but I have to say I'm more than a little mystified about your comment regarding the 6th ward. The sixth was always the Hungarian part of town. I grew up there. Maybe I'm getting old and things have changed, I dunno.
