And we have a herd.
exactly which is why it's embarrassing to lose and in the fashion that they did. Anyone arguing otherwise simply doesn't understand the game, the teams, and the strategies. embarrassing is an understatement

well deserved to boot

Congratulations on demonstrating how little you know about the top women's national teams. Canada has been one of them for a decade.
Still embarrassing, sorry, this isn’t hockey. We didn’t look good the entire tournament this game included.

Losing 1-0 to the eventual Gold Medal - GOLD MEDAL - winner, is not embarrassing in any universe with which I am familiar.

And no, Carli would not disrespect an opponent by saying that losing to them was an embarrassment.

I should have been more clear, my bad, she would never say it publicly I agree.

No, still wrong and you’re embarrassing yourself. When did you get so angry? I used to enjoy your posts.
Try out this 2012 match with Canada considered by many to be one of the greatest ever (and we might have stolen it). Lame teams don’t participate in great games…

lol I’m not the least bit “angry” I promise you that…nor am I “embarrassing myself” my friend…there is no right or wrong here, it’s simply my opinion, which the last time I checked I’m still allowed to have (for now anyway, lol…). If you don’t agree, fine, but no need for the attacks.

you are pulling a match from 10yrs ago to try and prove your point about the current teams and you want to say someone else's view (a view held by most of the womens' soccer world by the way) is embarrassing? lol log off, get a drink and buy a clue

usatoday, washington post, NYTimes, goal.com, and the list goes on

this is one of those times you simply just forget this thread as you look as retarded as Al

This was the 2021 team, not the 2012 team. Now I don't agree with "the whole tournament", but they certainly did not look good against France and were not in top form some other games.

Carlo Lloyd is the most celebrated athlete from Rutgers in any sport, ever, period.
Not if you’re just listing Rutgers accomplishments.

Which I have been using throughout the thread.

Overall, sure her resume is tough to beat.

very easy, some of my moderate left acquaintances even admitted rooting against them. The only ones vehemently on their side appears to be libtards, flamers/alt crowd, and the sheeple afraid to be branded anti some group for not supporting them.

couldn't be happier that they were embarrassed on a national stage. You just couldn't root them given their bigoted attitudes

Don't ever be this guy.

All I have been saying in this thread is…what did she do while here?

And when you just use that, Sue Wicks is still #1.
if you are going that way.. what about our national championship wrestlers.. or Alexi Lalas who won the soccer Heisman and took us to penalty kicks in a national championship game (that we lost).

Sue Wicks is still tops. But Paul Robeson is up there too.

They IMO are the two best.

Wow, if you are not impressed by Lloyds career really isn’t much to say then. I think something going on here than just sports.
I am very impressed. Where do you get that? I just believe she isn't the Rutgers Goat.

For about the eleventy zillionth time, EVERY USA PLAYER STOOD FOR EVERY NATIONAL ANTHEM FOR EVERY MATCH.
What ? I thought they were kneeling during the National Anthem ? In other words before the game they kneeled in a moment of silence type of display?

Worm, Upon further review you're absolutely correct. The team did stand during the Olympics for the anthem unlike some earlier matches.
I stand rightly chastised before you.
and, still, the kneeling they did promotes the anti-American propaganda that there is some huge racism problem here in the 21st Century while nearly every conceivable way of measuring such a thing shows otherwise.

Agreed. I wish they didn't do that. But I wanted to correct myself about not standing for the anthem.

Seems like a review of recent events is in order.

The kneeling at WSOC matches began with the very first match, Great Britain vs. Chile. At the start of the match, AFTER the anthems, the British players briefly knelt in a planned anti-racist statement. It was in response to the vile racism hurled at a few Black members of the English team after they lost the Euro final.

Then a freakin' AMAZING thing happened. The Chilean players, who had no advance notice of the planned action, knelt too! Athletes from different nations and cultures united in friendly competition. The Olympic ideal.

It took off from there.

almost as amazing as all those other countries that gave the fascist salute in support of the Germans in 36 but yeah, AMAZING! Could it be as amazing as the African nations supporting the ME anti Jew contingent in the World Games? No I get it, it's as amazing as the communist bloc marching in lock step with the Soviets for the continued misinformation, distorting of facts, suppression of rights and false narratives! that must be the amazing equivalency here!!!!!

JHC this board has become full of absolute dolts who lack critical thinking

I have seen it described as being against racism and inequality...

So a few England's black players who blew penalty kicks in Euro 2020 had some racist remarks tossed their way.. that's bad. But.. really.. what does that have to do with the Olympics? Are they all protesting what was said against a couple English players?

It doesn't matter what skin color they were... but they were brought in to replace players late BECAUSE of their ability to shoot PKs and they failed miserably. Race was just a convenient identifier for them... their race had nothing to do with their failures.

BTW.. not all USWNT kneeled... the GOAT didn't kneel.

amen and another reason why she's is the living legend

not to mention, you can watch tv daily and see off color remarks at white persons expense. Now flip the script and make it about blacks to see if it's ok.
