OT: Carson Palmer sucks

Worst game of the year for him. He is very inaccurate and making bad decisions. He was much better most of the year.

He also has a dislocated index finger on his throwing hand. Might have something to do with the accuracy issues.

The Panthers D might have something to do with it. Palmer had a very good year but a bad playoff game.

Either you are watching a different game or you had money on the Cards.
My bad, after seeing the comments on that SNL Fey / Palin thread I have started to assume that everyone has gone off of the deep end..

Palmer has had accuracy issues since dislocating the index finger in his throwing hand in week 15 against the Eagles.
Week 16 he had a bad half against Seattle and spent the second half of that blowout loss on the bench
Against GB in the playoffs his game wasn't one of his better ones as far as accuracy is concerned.
But he did have a good game against them when the Cards played the Pac in the last game of regular season.
The Cards lost and I'll give more credit to the Panther D rather than put everything on Palmer, even thought he didn't play a good game and deserves some of the blame .

He threw into double coverage a lot tonight. Problem is they made a it if those plays this year. They didn't have it tonight, and even if they did, their D was not going to hold up enough.

Before I start, this isn't to be taken personally by any single person in this thread. It's more of a petty, overall rant. This type of thread is why I hate many people, notably sports fans. Now, mind you, I have absolutely zero rooting interest for the Cardinals, other than thinking that Fitz is a classy guy.

But ...

One bad outing and now Carson Palmer sucks? A person's NFL team loses a preseason game even, or a MLB team gets swept by somebody, or whatever, and the coach should be fired. Every player should get benched and traded (fwiw, in the trade, they think they should get 15 first round picks back as fair value, even though they just claimed the guy sucks).

Sports fans, especially in the fast-paced northeastern US region, are the most fickle, impatient people ever. Why does sports passion bring the complete insanity out of so many fans?

And for the record, yes, Palmer was awful yesterday, but I would kill to have the guy running the Eagles' offense as compared to what we have now. One bad game does not mean he sucks.

Has not been the same QB the past five weeks since the injury, but he also showed really poor decision-making. The Broncos/Patriots game reminded me a lot of the old Giant/49er games. I can't recall enjoying watching a game (that the Giants weren't in) more in a long time. Which is why the NFC games was so disappointing. Couldn't wait for the X-Files to start.

Yep, he had a terrible game. But anyone who quarterbacks a professional team to the NFC championship game does not suck.
