To expand on that, I think people are tired of both parties. The same types of people keep getting elected to office, taxes keep going up, jobs keep leaving the country, more and more money pours into political campaigns, the country is more divided after every presidential term, major problems are continually kicked down the road, candidates continually change where they stand based on the latest Twitter poll, etc, etc, rinse, wash, repeat.
This is the medias fault. The constant 24 hour news cycle, Internet blogs, radio talking heads ect.. won't allow for compromise from strict party platforms. They crucify anyone who moves to the center. Congress is held hostage by the extremes in each party. Imagine what would happen to a rank and file republican who gave in on gun control.
As s neutral observer, the republicans seem to be the most difficult on compromise. They have allowed the tea party to run over them. Prob why they are stuck with the Donald as the nominee and will likely be out of the White House 8 more years.
