Got you,huh?
This one wasn't married to Elizabeth Taylor-among others.
This one was a 15 year MLB pitcher from 59-73 whose fortunes took off as soon as he developed a knuckleball around 1963.
In 1965,when he was with the White Sox,he finished 4th in the MVP voting, pitching an unfathomable 163 innings in relief.
With that name,he really should have been pitching in LA as the movie stars may have gone after him as did Mamie Van Doren for Bo Belinsky.

RIP Mr Fisher
I kind of remembered him as a player , but had to check and found this article :
>Eddie Fisher's 1965 season is one Major League Baseball might never see again.
The Chicago White Sox pitcher led the American League in games pitched (80), games finished (62) and WHIP (0.974) while also recording 24 saves. Remarkably, he also went 15-7 with a 2.40 ERA while qualifying for the ERA title because he pitched 165.1 innings.<
