OT: Even bigger congrats to the Hall

I think SHU shot their wad on the Big East tourney, while they will be a sexy pick to be a sleeper. I think they could go out first round...love to see Seton Hall-Monmouth matchup

What fun that was. Luv watching Nova get beat. Kudos to the Pirates.

Seton Hall almost gave the game away with missed foul shots but hung tough and made stops as Villanova made a big run in the second half.Whitehead MVP of the tournament.

Congratulations again to the Pirates. They hung tough and won it in the end.

Bunny's celebrating .
Cryan's would have been packed and gone crazy if it was still open.

Congrats to the Hall and the SO Pirate fans that are smiling right now.

Bac, you haven't changed a bit. Your hatred for the Hall blurs your ability to be objective. How do those sour grapes taste? Thanks to all of the decent posters .

Good for them. Now we need the right hire so we may actually compete and not lose by 30 again.

Hobbs needs to make it happen here.

Was not rooting for the Hall but will give them props for coming away with the W. Intense game and while I don't think Nova played particularly well the hall deserves some credit for that. Maybe good for Nova not to be a #1 seed given their recent tourney history. Thought Whitehead was very good tonight and had me thinking he may not be back if he continues to play at this level in the tournament b

Their win makes me smile . We finally have an AD who has an eye for talent. This is something we've never had before and gives me hope for the future.

They played great team ball in this tourney and Whitehead is big time. They've taken a big leap forward from last year.

I haven't analyzed the field but they look like a 4 seed to me. Seems pretty ridiculous that they weren't in the top-25.

They gutted it out. Everytime nova would make a push to comeback or go ahead, Hall had an answer. When the ref swallowed the whistle on Nova's push off 3 pointer I thought it would be over though.
Regardless of outcome I still would have liked them to call the push-off as well as the end of game putback play.

Great game by the Hall. Now that we are no longer conference rivals, I found myself rooting heartedly for the Hall to upset the Nova. I can't stand the hype Nova gets every year, which they seldom back up with their tournament performance.

Your jealousy is clouding your judgment. Keep on posting.

Agree on their seed-----4 or a 5-----in this tournament does it really matter ?

Bac's suggestion not unreasonable IMO-------you need to be ready to play Game 1 and it will be interesting to see how they handle it.

I was at the game----great atmosphere.

I think people are classy on here, have seen some posts on Seton hall board did not like. Hope Whitehead plays great and declares for NBA draft.

how can you not feel good for seton hall--face it they have good players

SHU is a recruiting rival..its like rooting for Syracuse in football
In about 4-5 years were gonna be making 40 mil a year from the big ten. It will be easy to catch up once that happens. I doubt most of our students even know shu was once our rival.

I think SHU has played themselves into a position where their first round opponent will be one they should handle pretty easily.

Let's get back to when we have a shot at beating them. Then the hate can come back.

they possibly played themselves to a 5 seed although an outside shot at 4 and Lunardi has them as a 6....tourney is rife with 12s beating 5s..could be in line to face Stony Brook, Yale, Arky Little Rock, No Iowa, So Dakota State

possible opponents if 6th would be Temple, Michigan, Monmouth, St Bonnies, Pitt, Syracuse,

I no longer see them as a rival. In our conference with all that it affords now and will in the future, it's all about us. If we do what we should, Seton Hall should be no more of a rival than Monmouth. I rooted for them too. I hope they make the tourney.

sorry dont like them...a great year for sure but will never root for their success

Over the years I probably had a stronger dislike for SHU then even you did. First, I spent 4 years on that campus when I was at Seton Hall Prep (which I loved) and I didn't even apply to SHU. We resented the University since we felt it was our campus since the Prep was older than the U. they did not agree with that lol. Second, I resented the school because my brother, who was a better student than me) went there and dropped out before he finished a year. I figured since the school could not engage him it must suck. lastly was an incident when I was in high school when we were playing basketball in the bubble and members of the SHU team walked n the court and started shooting as if we weren't there. Pissed us off.

That said, I am softening. First a close friend from SHU who hated Rutgers as much as I hated SHU (we actually started fighting at the infamous RU-Penn State Graber Paterno game after the controversial touchdown) has told me that he now roots for RU in football. So yesterday I reached out to him and said I want in on the SHU bandwagon. I will say that I was very impressed with them when they beat us and they have gotten better since then. I want to see the draw but I expect them to make the sweet sixteen.
