My youngest daughter loves Grease. We've watched it end to end about seven times this year. Prior to that I last saw the movie when it came out in 77/78? After 8 watches you pick up on stuff you missed previously. Only part of the movie I cant watch anymore is "Beauty School Dropout" Dinah Manoff (Martie) is beyond smoking.

Me too, watched alll the time with my daughter.
Did you notice the waitress was the old Pinkie? LOL

Fell asleep on the couch last night and my wife switched over to watch it. I woke up in time to see Sandy D (Julianna Hough) in the black pants all slutted up.

So the only thing I can say is that the part I saw was excellent.

I saw Grease on Broadway way back when and enjoyed the Travolta/Newton- John movie.

I watched the live broadcast and was very impressed. Don't know anything about the male leads. I know who Hough is from seeing bits of "Rock of Ages". She is one major talent imo. I understand the other female leads are fairly well known entertainers. They were all very good.

My only complaint was the band sometimes drowned out the singers.

I saw the ending.. it was good. I saw an earlier part.. they were in the gym.. not good. But the performers realizing they pulled off this live thing (including driving a cast tram over a curb or something by mistake at the end).. the performers were clearly happy.. and it showed and was compelling to see.

Yeah. I saw that. Bounced the tram pretty good. Broadway actors do it every performance but pulling off this with the scope of what they did was an impressive accomplishment. On stage you need the audience to use their imagination somewhat. On TV you have to put everything out there to see visually or you'll lose a portion of your audience. It's a heck of a lot easier to change the channel than walk out of a theater.

Red R with white outline on Red background. I'm telling you it works.

I like any helmet with a Scarlet R and a red helmet would keep the traditionalists happy.

#GreaseLive was well done. Julianne Hough. Would.
