Election Day was an annual student holiday at Rutgers. Between 1875-1923, Rutgers amassed a 7-12-2 record playing on the first Tuesday after the first November Monday. The last five games were played at the Polo Grounds in New York. After the 1923 football season, the Rutgers administration took its own vote and the results came in. Election Day would no longer be a school holiday.
