Reading threads on this board you see a lot of suggestions of who could be the next Rutgers coach (regardless of timing, now or in the future).

Because I had the info handy, here is where the 65 Head Coaches in the P5 conferences for the past season "came from" - that is, not necessarily their immediate prior job (although it often was), but rather, what was their qualifying experience:

13 of the coaches were previously Head Coaches of other Power Schools (inc. oBE, plus P5)
34 of the coaches were Head Coaches of mid-major D1 schools, of varied experience.
4 were head coaches at other levels (high school, DIII, DII, etc)
1 was a men's head coach
1 was an announcer - he resigned at the end of the season
6 were promoted from the staff at the same school (Associate HC or Assistant)
6 were assistants at other schools, mostly P5 schools

Pretty much what I thought, FWIW

I am liking the Albany coach who's team plays defense and has very offensive players. Will be watching where they get placed.

But it is her first year there, replacing CVS's former player, Katie Abrahamson-Henderson who is now at UCF. The current coach is from the NAIA ranks. I didn't notice during the game, but I saw on-line that Yolanda Griffith is one of her assistants.

I like her energy and I think she can grow into the job.
