The USWNT has announced the roster for the 2015 Women's World Cup.

Congrats the New Jersey's Heather O'Reilly, Tobin Heath, Manasquan's Christine Rampone, and of course Rutgers' Carli Lloyd. Only California with 6 has more team members.

In the mid-eighties my boss ran and coached in the Pt. Pleasant youth soccer program. He used to tell me about this girl with incredible skills. She was the young Christine Pearce.

jersey does it's part and then some when it comes to producing top end soccer talent. Our national teams have always had a strong Jersey influence.
If Carli Lloyd puts in one more solid world cup cycle, she will go down as one of the best US woman national players of all time. Great, great career by one of our own.

My daughter's HS soccer team made it to the State Championship game - the only time her HS has done that.... And lost 1-0 - the goal was scored by Heather O'Reilly - so yes I remember her - lol And congrats to her and the others!
