Way OT, but I know there are some EPL folks on the board. Spent the last couple weeks in Europe and happen to be in Manchester for NYE. Grabbed tickets to United at Old Trafford last night. Awesome awesome experience. My takeaways:
United really really suck right now. Doubt they’ll be relegated, but it’s definitely on the table.
Pubs throughout the city seem much more interested in Man City overall.
Experience at Old Trafford is top notch. 75,000 die hard supporters. Very efficient entry, exit, and transportation to/from center city. Plans in the works for a new stadium with capacity up to 100k.
I know the supporters were speaking English, but holy hell did I hear some entirely new style of cursing. Really just the f word with a bunch of unintelligible gibberish surrounding it.
I don’t have a horse in the EPL race (though I won’t be surprised if I get much more into it going forward), but what a really awesome experience.
