OT: MSG Networks no longer carried by Optimum

That explains it. I've never been a baseball or hockey fan at all, and when I was a pro BB fan, I was a Jordan/Bulls fan. Perhaps I watched some Bulls/Knicks games on MSG way back when, but I can't recall it.

I can certainly understand the frustration for fans of those teams, though. To me, the solution is to eliminate everything that stands in the way of all out competition between service providers. Guessing that's an uphill battle with a precipitous slope. Consumers would need some way to combat the service provider lobbies, but I can't imagine what that would be - the money is all with the service providers.
You certainly wouldn’t miss Tru TV either, until our first NCAA tournament game is on it. (Wishful thinking)

I think I have Tru TV now, on Optimum, but not really sure as I cannot recall watching anything on that channel. So you’re probably right that I won’t miss it. And also right that, if the NCAA tournament games are on Tru TV, and I don’t have it through optimum, and we do make the tournament, I would have to get it some other way.

I have Tru TV on my cable package. Rarely view it outside of early March Madness games

LOL that doesn't mean that executives are not getting paid millions just because the company has a loos or a small profit. They are sucking the life out of these companies
@Joey Bags
This Exactly. This is classic "Hollywood Accounting". That is a real term that was coined because of the way entertainment companies write done millions in losses despite production costs often being 10, 20, or more times less than the products gross. This has been an entertainment industry tool for decades to beat financiers, actors, etc. out of profits sharing percentages. Sports production and broadcasting costs one of the most profitable because it is easier and cheaper than Movies and TV shows.

One example of this is when Disney beats a financier out of profits because of lots of secondary companies getting loans from the main company at absurd interest rates so they can always say. "well the production company STILL hasn't paid back the loan, we haven't made money yet"
