Tomorrow the NCAA Track & Field Championships begin in Eugene, OR. The Rutgers men are sending 3 individual entries in the 400m, long jump, and javelin as well as the 4X400m relay team. The Rutgers women have Gabrielle Farquharson entered in 3 events: the 100m, 200m, and long jump.
It is a long shot for us to capture an individual national title but based on seeding Jermaine Griffith in the 400m and Corey Crawford in the long jump can score points for Rutgers.
Gabrielle will go down as one of the top female athletes ever to compete at Rutgers as she has a good chance to score in both the 200m and long jump.
Hopefully we surprise to the upside this week and score points with 1 or 2 individuals getting close to an individual national title. Go RU!
