OT: New Service—MySports TV incl BTN

Sounded intriguing until I got to the $70 price tag after $50/mo trial period. That's about what I pay for YouTube TV, though looks like that just went up over $80.

Thought a more focused sports package would be a little cheaper. Otherwise what's the point? That $50/mo sounded about right.

I get TV for Free, but thought some of you might be interested in this new Sports package, which includes the Big Ten Network—
Free TV? How exactly does one pull that off? You’re either a teenager living off your parents or your TV charges are bundled into some other regular payment.

OTA -- digital antenna. It has its limits too, though.
OTA in Columbus you can watch all but 2 of OSUs game each year and the picture quality is better than cable or YTTV.

Next media deal the conference should make it so you can PPV every game in 4K with Skycam with scoreboard but no announcers. That is the only thing I'd pay for. Otherwise I just support a local business for the game on Peacock and BTN. Which is actually more expensive than paying for it but I'm not going to support a terrible product like that as much as I can.

Agreed. Shocked to see the $70 price. I thought it would be around $50 as well since DirectTV has the rights to MSG, YES and SNY around here. They are the only ones with all 3 and I think the YES or MSG app is like $30 per month.

I’ll stick with DirectTV Stream for now but even that is getting ridiculous and I only really watch 10-20 channels.

it's great since OSU is on regular network TV most of their games. I wish I could get regional sports networks a la carte. At least I know I can see the home football games since I'm there in person!
