OT - NJ native Rick Barry's son is a graduate transfer

His brothers were good players, I am guessing he has a different mother.

I would think we have no chance to join his list. It would have been nice to have Rick's son play in NJ where Rick was a big time player at Roselle Park. He was I believe one year ahead of me in high school in Union County when I attended Linden. His picture was constantly in the Elizabeth Daily Journal. He went on to become an All American at Miami (Florida). I think he might have led the nation in scoring.

37.4 points per game as a senior.

I see that Rick only turned 17 in March (born March of 1944) of his senior year at Roselle Park. He graduated in 1961. He should have been only a junior that year. He actually never played a game his senior year at age 17. He was only 16 the entire season. That is odd as most schools at that time had the cutoff date for age at December 31. If you started kindergarten at 4 you had to be 5 by December 31. That would have made a person to be 17 by December 31 of their senior year. I guess the rules were different at Roselle Park or maybe Rick skipped a grade or was so big for his age that he moved up. Today many kids play their senior year in high school at 19.

His brothers from a different mother had good basketball bloodlines. Rick's first father in law iwas his college coach and first ABA coach.
