Opening Day for the NLL is today...indoor/box lacrosse. I'm watching the Wings in their revival game playing Buffalo. I believe Rexrode is on the team, as is Baptiste as center/FOGO and Matt Rambo. I'm loving this...its like a combo of ice hockey and basketball and its far more physical than field lax, at least at the pro level. 5 on 5 plus the goalie. I think field lax back in the day was a hell of a lot more physical and more bone crushing checks took place.

Heningburg is playing for San Diego. I’ll be going to check out a game.

100%. Jules’s is a great kid. I’ll have him get tickets for us.
@Caliknight - you still thinking about going this Sat? Looks like Jules is on practice squad. I’m flying in from SF around 5:30 so may swing by since I’ll be right there. Let me know your plans.

I'm not going this Sat. but will be going to a game. I'll keep you posted.

How's this for random. One of my employees was at the national championship game Monday night and was at a bar in Monterey and ran into a teammate of ours. Crazy.

I don't know Jules, but I'll share this...last summer when my son made his decision to transfer to RU...within minutes of his decision/announment, Jules reached out, welcomed him, was chatting with him and engaging...very classy from my perspective...he didn't need to do that, but took the time anyway...

I’m not surprised. Jules is a great kid and once you are in the RU lax family, you are part of something real. I reached out to him too. Your son seems like a great kid also. :)

That is random. Just let me know whenever you are thinking of heading down.

The field game has been moving towards less physicality for at least 45 years, but the last 5-7 have been more dramatic than the slow drift of the 40 years before that. It actually began with the introduction of plastic sticks. The arm pads of today's players, particularly attackmen, would have engendered looks of disbelief when wood sticks were used. The recent dramatic shift is concussion related.
