Not only did the L.A. Rams acquire the top overall pick from Tennessee, the Eagles today traded for the 2nd overall selection. Hope for their sake that they land a long term franchise QB because they gave up a lot.

Totally agree that neither Wentz nor Goff looks like a guy worthy of these many picks. It also could lead to teams reaching for Lynch and at least opens the door to Cook and/or Hackenberg possibly going in the first round.

It only makes a little sense if, despite the denials, Philly is trading Bradford for picks prior to next week.
The challenge to trading Bradford is the guaranteed money he has coming. $22M over two years

They just paid him a $12 million signing bonus. They're not trading him. I'm assuming Wentz/Goff will back him up this season, and if they feel the kid's ready they'll move on from Bradford before the 2017 season. The team-friendly deal allows them the flexibility. That's the smart thing they did. The dumb thing they did was essentially trade Murray, Maxwell, Alonso and a ton of picks for a backup QB who needs to be great for the moves to be justified.

It's really hard to see how they can give up three players and a bunch of picks just to have a guy to ride the pine.
