I know the Mens team is doing great things but how about packing the RAC for CVS squad to , they are doing Good as well and could certainly use some help for a change . You may not see dunks but you will see some good Basketball from these ladies , next yrs recruiting class is off the charts so why not give them your time and support.

Pat Hobbs, pleeease have more doubleheader’s, including ones on the weekend. Enjoyed both games earlier this year. Maybe mix in doubleheader’s with other sports such as wrestling or volleyball once in a while too.
I can see them doing that a couple of times during the nonconference portion of the schedule. However, if the men are selling out the conference schedule, there is no financial incentive to schedule the doubleheader. Granted, money isn't everything.

Another factor is whether CVS will go along with being somebody else's opening act.

Wrestling draws enough revenue on its own that I don't think it makes sense. I like the volleyball idea.

I would like Volleyball to get good enough where the Barn becomes a fun place for us to watch and a Knightmare to the opponent.

Bet it gets pretty loud on its own.

DoctorWorm, certainly would not do it for the Major Big Ten schools.

Nothing short of my daughter playing, could make me attend a women’s basketball game. I cannot imagine a worse way to spend an afternoon.
I do wish they would use a smaller ball. It seems to make every shot look like a shootput attempt. Most girls and many guys have hands that are not big enough to comfortably handle a basketball.

Woman’s ball is smaller

"Basketballs used in the NCAA are between 9.39 and 9.55 inches for the men and 9.07 and 9.23 inches for the women.Sep 8, 2016"

Yet the RU ladies shoot free throws and 3 pts at a better shooting percentage than the guys. go figure.
Abro, is that true in general or just regarding the two Rutgers teams? Either way, I think people should look at the two games as different. Fans should also remember Rutgers and Stringer play a different style that does not appeal to everyone. For example, without looking it up, I would guess Baylor has a lot more games scoring in the high 60s than Rutgers does .

You know the women’s team could be undefeated at home to if they had those sellout crowds to , they only lost 1 home game, that would have been something to see if both women and men’s basketball undefeated at the Rac . I believe this a historical season for both teams and both are in second place with CVS team in sole possession of #2 so why not bring your kids to a woman game because I’m gonna bring mine for the Minnesota game , we are some of the best fans in the big when we all show up .

Yeah but Baylor fans show up for there women’s basketball brand with sold out crowds just like UConn , and to tell you the truth their are women who can do a cross over better than the guys , but people just like seeing dunks and alley oops and stuff and that has nothing to do with the style because basketball is basketball.

It's true this year, and if i have time I'll look up a few previous years, but it wouldn't surprise me.

And RU WBB play a 55 D , usually pressing all 40 minutes, while they tend to hold their oppeonents to lower scores, they too don't score as high as other top teams, And when you press all game, legs tend to get tired, which affects shooting percentages, so give RU WBB credit for decent, not great, shooting percentages.

It appears that in most sports, men BB, women BB, soccer, and wrestling, Rutgers is very competitive in the BIG 10. The football program is the last one to be competitive. When Schiano was here in the 2015-2018, I thought we would have been competitive with most of the Big Ten programs especially the West division.

I attended many women's games during the Grentz era. I dragged a friend totally against his will one day (he didn't like basketball, let alone women's hoops) . It was against PSU when they were #1 and Rutgers won the game. He really enjoyed the game and was surprised at how exciting it is and said it seemed like PSU was going to make a run and won it but Rutgers always had a resonse. If you are a Rutgers fan (not just a Rutgers men's basketball fan), you will enjoy it. Your school pride will not allow you to be disinterested. Seriously.

Back in the day, the fans who attended the women's games had different cheers and taunts. I recall seeing everyone breaking out their car keys and shaking as the final minutes approached and we were way up. Then the "warm up the bus" chants would start. I'd never seen those at mens games. Granted, the men were so bad until Wenzel, we didn't have many opportunities to taunt the other fans.

I don't necessarily enjoy watching wrestling however I respect the hard work of our athletes and I applaud their accomplishments and the positives they bring to RU. No need for the nasty post.
Thanks for saving me the typing.
