Question for all high school football gurus - when's the last time the two public high schools in the towns in which RU is located played each other in football?

It's gotta be 25 years or more, right? Piscataway was a Group 4 forever and then got bumped to Group 5 when they added another group.

New Brunswick is in its second year as a Group 5 school and has moved into the GMC Red this year.

It wasn't all that long ago that NBHS was a Group 2 school but apparently its enrollment has grown quite a bit.

Good question . They have scrimmaged in the past . Piscataway-Franklin is/was a big rivalry . Rumor was some of the kids on those really good Franklin teams were really from Nb (just rumors , never confirmed ).
I don't follow hs football much , but I would guess Piscataway is probably much better than NB. There was a time 10-15 years ago when New Brunswick was better for a couple years with Dwayne Jarrett . I believe his senior year nb finished as the number 1 public in the state.

The last time 2 teams played where ru is located was probably New Brunswick/Piscataway against a team from Newark .

When I was in HS, Woodbridge Township had three group 4 (largest group then) schools, WHS, Colonia and JFK. They all played each other. Now I think only WHS is group 4. Don't think JFK and WB play anymore and Colonia and WB only play because it's a traditional Thanksgiving rivalry. Population shifts and white flight to more upscale suburbs I guess.
