OT: Purdue / Rutgers Basketball Tickets Start at $15

For those thinking about stadium expansion please consider this $15 price point. We need to get demand up to a point where these tickets are 40 bucks a pop before we think about adding seats.

I really hope the 300 level never goes above $25. Many people will be priced out, especially families whose children are our potential future students and fans. At $40 each, a family of five would be looking at $200 for tickets, $10 for parking, and if each person had one hot dog and one soda, about $50 for food. A LOT of families would pass on that. What I would like to see is the 200 level broken into several sections for pricing-sides low one price, sides high one price, center low one price, and center high one price.

There is a long way to go before this is even a consideration. Some of the incremental steps that will occur will be raising prices for some but not all of the 300s and also raising prices only for league games. Another step will be raising single game prices so that there is a "deal" when season tix, and to a lesser extent, a quantity of games, are purchased to encourage fans to commit. Even if that all occurs there will still be plenty of opportunities to score cheap Rutgers basketball tix in non-conference games and in the seats where prices were not raised.
