OT: Reyes signs with Mets

All charges dropped, he was just oopening the sliding door for his wife. He is a great athlete and can spark the Mets. Welcome home!

Not yet announced. The earliest he could sign was 1:00PM today when waiver period expired.

Then how come mlb suspended him and Colorado kicked him off team

I know the answer to the first question. It is the same reason Chapman was suspended. Under the new MLB Domestic Violence Policy, which has been agreed to by the MLBPA, Manfred can issue a suspension based on HIS view of the evidence, not that of the legal system.

As to your second question, I think the story is Story.

It is now official. Mets have signed Reyes to a minor league deal and he will report to Brooklyn. He is scheduled to play tomorrow and address the media after the game.

Also sounds like they sent Conforto down to AAA and brought up Brandon Nimmo.
imho this move absolutely had to be made to allow Conforto to regain his swing and work on pitch selection etc. He's got great long term potential but was killing the team for now and the move had to be made. He will be back up eventually and better then ever I believe.

Agree, I'm also looking forward to seeing Nimmo. Not sure how long he will be up, but good to get his feet wet.

Nice to see that MLB doesn't collude in blackballing its players.

Different player than Harper, but not giving up on Conforto. Many players have been sent down and went on to have very good careers.

They once said conforto was Bryce Harper like. Meh.

390 total plate appearances over 2 years in the majors. He batted, .270 last year and started off strong this year.

By comparison, Harper batted a steady 0.270 his first full three years in the majors, and last year he had a breakout season. This year, he is hitting below 0.250. Slumps happen to every batter, especially when they are young. It's a process. . . . . .
