OT: Rutgers Wrestling is now ranked #10 in the nation

We tend to dwell of the big two programs which are struggling. It is great that we have some really great athletes in a lot of other sports not nearly as well known. Great news.

This is the one sport that RU can really take advantage of the fertile recruiting area and become a consistent national power...I'm interested to see if RU can get any wrestlers committed to PSU to transfer over the next few years based on their depth and not everyone can start...will be also nice to go head to head with Lehigh and other PA schools for he top recruits...I can see RU being a perennial top 10 team with decent shots at conference and national championships (Maybe more so individual wrestlers rather than team totals)

But do they have an elite coach?
Hopefully that guy is banished from this site

Actually, many would consider Donny Pritzlaff an elite coach.

For those that don't follow, we have a sick recruiting class coming in next season while All American Anthony Ashnault has 2 more seasons after this year as well as rising stars Gravina and Richie Lewis. We get Theo back from his redshirt season. This ain't a one and done.

Why would they transfer in conference where they have sit out a year and lose a year of eligibility. Out of conference they could use their one year exception and not sit a year or lose a year of eligibility.

Because this guy is the biggest PSU moron shill on this site pretending to be a Rutgers fan.

You might want to post on the wrestling board too. I'm sure the wrestling fans would be interested.
Yes, really great news for the kids, the program, and their small following of dedicated and loyal fans. Let's see, the 7th ranked team in the nation and a traditional rival wrestled a Rutgers squad that was ranked 13th in the nation on a Saturday in February in what we have been told on this board is a wrestling crazy state and drew 1,800 people to the RAC. Enough said.

Why do you care? You have such a hard on for the fact that wrestling doesnt draw large crowds. Who gives a shit? If you don't like the wrestling stuff being posted on this board, then don't click on it. But in case you haven't noticed, those of us who like all things Rutgers appreciate the successes of all teams, and attendance doesn't really have anything to do with it. By your standards, the only sports that count at are men's basketball and football. Not all of us agree with that assessment.

You must consider the women's soccer final four totally worthless, since they only draw a hundred or so per game. Probably should just cancel that sport all together.

PS - your cherry pick of attendance for the Lehigh dual is noted. Tickets for that match only went on sale 1 week prior, and season ticket holders did not receive tickets.

And..... since it seems this guy doesn't follow wrestling NJ Districts were being wrestled on Saturday taking away a lot of fans. The great thing about going to the wrestling matches is that the audience are not all RU grads supporting their school. A lot of them are wrestling fans wanting to see great college wrestling.

Looking at the final standings makes the home loss to Wisconsin even more difficult to understand. But a great season nonetheless. Hope there is some good news to come in the B1G and national tourneys.

Fan of PSU football since birth...follower of all other RU sports since inclusion in B1G...don't like it? Blow me...
Hey, Reppin_jetz

What's up, who else hates you today? So you've been a fan of RU for 2 years, great - now please go to the psu board with your buddies since birth and stop being a Putz

Where can one find a list of wrestling commits so we can follow in the regionals and states?

Whos coming in next year?

So glad the grapplers are doing so well. Always went to meets at "The Barn" as an undergrad. Too bad I can't now. Living out of state.

It's people like you and El Curioso that make it sometimes difficult for the good, reasonable Nit followers like PSU Nut on here.

You're a guest. Act like one.
Disagree, anyone who Is remotely associated with or a fan of PSU sports is a troll or pedo supporter according to the majority on here, it's apparently impossible to be a supporter of RU athletics on this board if you don't fit the mold...like I've said before I am certainly glad this board is NOT a representation of the majority population of RU athletic supporters because of all the RU athletic events I've been to over the last few years, from football, to basketball to recently wrestling...I've had nothing but positive interactions with fans who can understand being a supporter of two programs...and not spew the vitriol and act like clowns like some on this board who feel it's their responsibility to be the board police and crucify anyone who doesn't share their same opinions

No, it's just a putz like you who is not welcome. This board has welcomed visitors from other teams, including opponents, with collegiality and good natured ribbing. There's a reason why you are perceived so negatively; no further explanation required.

What happened to the two wrestling recruits from Indianapolis from two years ago. Both were brothers and in the heavyweight class

This should really help in recruiting, go RU
What happened to the coach that came from Cornell that was a great hire and the fighter who practiced with the squad but was a professional UFB contender in the middle weight class
