Gross, if true.
Good riddance Greg, and thanks for nothing.
Good riddance Greg, and thanks for nothing.
I always thought he had to know something about it.
Exactly. Even if he never witnessed anything (and now it appears he did) there's simply no way he could have coached there for 5 years and heard no whispers about any of it. Just no way.
Hearing whispers about it is one thing...
Actually seeing it is another.
I'd like to hear Schiano comment on this. But it sure looks like he let a predator rape children so as not to upset his career.
If so he's a disgusting coward (and a below average football coach)
And the longer this was allowed to go one with people knowing and not reporting it to the police, the more motivation the powers that be at Penn State have to keep it hidden (for fear that their prior negligence be discovered) and the more freedom Sandusky feels to keep doing what he was doing since it was being 'condoned' at the Lasch building. A cycle of depravity that aligned the interests of Paterno/Penn State and Sandusky. It wouldn't surprise me if it is eventually learned that a large number of people knew, after all, it apparently went on at some level for many years. But , no one, and I mean absolutely no one, was going to make a move against the will of Paterno. Joe PA was God. Remember, they didn't have the SL and NL.com looking over their shoulder for any dirt to throw on their graves. What Joe PA wanted was an unblemished PSU football program and no one was going to disturb that reality and survive with a career in football still alive. It is a shame if true.
I guess we'll have to rename a few buildings, take down his statue, stop naming ice cream flavors after him, change street signs, etc. I mean, his name & image are all over campus, and Rutgers is synonymous with the man...Are you guys going to remove all traces of Schiano from campus and the history books...shameful era?
Are you guys going to remove all traces of Schiano from campus and the history books...shameful era?
We don't have to really. We didn't build a statue for him. We didn't paint a mural with a halo over his head. He was a football coach that moved on, and we moved on from him. That's how this stuff is supposed to work. Are you guys going to remove all traces of Schiano from campus and the history books...shameful era?
So essentially, almost everyone at PSU knew what was going on and did nothing. Right?
This is someone saying they heard from someone that Schiano saw something. That isn't definitive.
I agree that any coach who coached at Penn St likely heard something was going on. Dick Anderson, Larry Johnson, surely those guys heard rumors.
Don't care. If you have a shred of humanity in you, you go directly to the police, you go to the media, you beat that rapist piece of shit to within an inch of his life if necessary. Nothing excuses not ending the raping.I feel that way, but at same time, it's not like ANYONE else who reported it had their reports hit the light of day. Best to get out of there and report it to FBI.
I'm all for it.Are you guys going to remove all traces of Schiano from campus and the history books...shameful era?

And one would have to be sure that McQueary had his facts straight and/or was not lying in his testimony. Far-fetched, but you have a witness testifying about what he remembers Coach Bradley remembered hearing what Coach Schiano allegedly told him. Not cutting Gary an slack here, but direct testimony from Bradley or Gary himself would be more informative. But that sounds a lot like the apologists' defenses of Paterno. The problem is that there are so many stories of Paterno being told or knowing about what happened that it is either a conspiracy against Paterno or a strange coincidence.Nothing is definitive...
Still not good for Schiano. Why would Bradley lie?
SEE BAYLOR DUDENot understanding why anyone would alert the FBI to an issue that "should" be handled by local authorities.
I'm all for it.

Hindsight is 20/20. Baylor is new. This happened in the 1970s/80/90s. Back then on planet earth, you start with local law enforcement. Now, perhaps, things are done differently, genius.SEE BAYLOR DUDE
