Time to escape the frozen tundra (tounge in cheek as it's going to be warm here this week) for the Sunshine State
Anyone heading down this week?

Flying out early today out of Trenton
Much cheaper than United out of EWR for some reason

Twins today
Sox tomorrow
Got the old man into Surfsides and Suncruisers, cousin drinks Bud Light and my other cousin likes Arnold Palmers

Side note, will try to get cousin # 2 back on board w/football season tickets
He hopped on the train during the Flood years, saw some good games (Michigan in 14) and a few doozies and decided no mas
Hopefully over a few cold ones, I can convince him to get back in the mix

Can't figure out why flying Frontier out of Trenton is cheaper than flying United out of Newark? Oh, you're in for a treat.
Ive flown it before out of there but not first choice

United out of ewr is usyally cheaper but this was a last minute trip so who knows

Leaving Saturday morning to see two Mets games in Port St. Lucie.

West Palm out of Atlantic City on Spirit.

Maybe for future reference but if you are flying into West Palm you should look to catch the Mets at the Jupiter facility shared by the Cardinals and the Marlins. It’s the closest to West Palm and a great park in a very nice setting with restaurants around and an adjacent college campus. Free parking very easy to find too. I’ve been to a lot of east coast spring training games to follow the Mets and this is the place to go. Good seats might even be easier to come by. We sat second row behind the plate this year for $26 plus StubHub fees a few weeks ago.

Always wondered why there’s only five E. Coast teams vs almost 10 on the West Coast, and four of them share the same facility

Whereas everyone on the West Coast has their own

That actually was my plan originally: one in West Palm (Nationals), one in Jupiter (Marlins) and a home game against the Astros but my son wanted to see them at home in Port St. Lucie.

We'll see how this works out and maybe do what you (and what I wanted to do) next year.

We ended up doing the Twins on Tuesday at Hammond
Nice park, sat 10 rows behind home plate for $45 each
There were 4 of us so it wasn't a big production
Parking was $20 and they faced the Tigers - I'd say crowd was split 50-50 or maybe 60-40 Tigers, who had a nice comeback and won it in the 9th

Wednesday we did the Sox - Tigers at Jet Blue
Similar to Hammond, we got some quality tailgating in
Re. tickets, this time there were 7 of us and since the Tigers fans always show out on the road (at least in Fort Myers), tickets were harder to come by, so we got SRO on top of the monster

Got the sausage, peppers and onion sandwich down the left field line and enjoyed a cold brew
Couldn't ask for anything better being with my father, uncle, two cousins and two nephews
