OT: The Best Place to Die in NJ...

Gotta be Monroe. That entire township is one huge Active Adult Community

Since most of the conversations about living in NJ have everyone saying they left, are about to leave and/or want to leave:
The best place to die in New Jersey would be the closest crematory.
This way you could find your own burial plot, dig the hole and bury yourself, because there will be no one left in the state to do that for you..
Don't trust your dog to bury your bones, the way people are talking about NJ in other threads, your dog probably wants out too and will chase the first car with out of state plates trying to catch a ride. :p

I like what the late Art Donovan said on Letterman on this topic...

Sit beneath my favorite tree, eat a whole pizza, drink a case of beer and explode.

Is this some sort of a sick joke because an 18 year old girl & her 20 year old boyfriend died in a car crash here Monday afternoon?
I assure you it was purely coincidence. I don't joke about such tragic occurrences and I don't keep abreast of the news in Manalapan.

Art owned a catering joint where my cousin got married. At some point during the dinner my dad comes and gets me and say - come back to the kitchen. So I follow him and there is Art, just sitting there drinking a Schlitz and talking to my grandfather, who at one time was his mailman. Tow old guys reminiscing about old time Baltimore. Seemed like such a down to earth and nice guy.

Donovan was a national treasure. When he was on TV it was impossible to turn the channel.

I'm Catholic and believe in traditional burial but part of me wants some ashes to be spread. I want some of my ashes spread on the field of Rutgers Stadium and some back behind The Barn where the first game was played. Other places for consideration would be the beaches in LBI and Manasquan where I spent summers as a kid and into my 20's respectively. That's all I got right now. I'm 36 so hopefully I have more places to add eventually and don't have to worry about this at all for quite a while lol. hopefully;)
