Would the Grinnell System or modified Grinnell System work at D1 level?

David Arseneault Jr (age 28) went from Grinnell assistant coach under his dad to head coach of Sacramento Kings D-League for the last two years. Is he considered a D1 head coach prospect? Sidenote, he is now Kadeem Jack's head coach after Jack was just traded to Reno. http://reno.dleague.nba.com/

"My dad never thought it was going to be a competitive strategy," Arseneault said. "He just thought that if they were going to lose, why lose 60-40 when you could lose 150-130. At least then the guys will have something positive to talk about after they lost because somebody was scoring all of those points."

Reminds me of the old Loyola Marymount teams with Hank Gathers, Bo Kimble, etc. It was entertaining but I'm not sure I'd be a fan of it.

Didn't LIU run something like this with Rutgers transfer Charles Jones leading the way.

With the shot clock at 30 it is more of a viable concept. According to a documentary i saw LMU had a real difficult conditioning program. Are today's athletes willing to push?

Oh.. and, yes, the three point shot is king.. or soon will be. We need more of it.
