OT: UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley has cashed in on the Huskies national championship

Winning is really rewarded at perceived elite college teams.UConn in basketball is such a school for men's and women's basketball.

One wonders where that money is coming from, in view of the low income figures, including TV money, earned by the football program. Maybe they know something that we don't - the B12 is coming.

They better hope the Big 12 is coming otherwise they're about 2-3 years away from dropping their football program back to FCS level.

Is it any different than Rutgers? Or every other program?

"Rutgers Athletics loses money! Can't pay the athletes. They are already at a loss!
Oh BTW- HC Schiano record contract. HC Pike record contract. OC KC record contract."

Schools always seem to fund the money for coaches - while crying poor when needing money for athletes.

I'd say B1G membership and being $22M in the hole are vastly different than Big East membership and $50M in the hole like UConn is. UConn is making 10% of what Rutgers makes from their media deal and that's with RU paying loans.

really , what RU fan should give a crap about UConn ?? oh there is this one guy
