OT: What’s your ‘I Put That Sh*t on Everything’ Ingredient?

Yup, I'm with all of you. I really should not eat anything past a certain time at night. Elevating your head does help.

I find laying on my left side causes less issues than my right - I think it has to do with how the stomach/esophagus connection is laid out.

Gross.

Ketchup? Frank’s Hot Sauce? Salt and pepper? Honey mustard? Curry? Mine is Old Bay, try it on popcorn. And green chilis from Hatch, New Mexico.
Flatiron 4 pepper crushed red pepper blend. It's got jalapeño, habanero, arbol, and just a hint of ghost. It's crushed red pepper on steroids at 100K Scovilles but it's amazing on pizza or pasta.

Smoke. Besides meats, love it for vegetables, sauces, stews/soups, desserts, salts and spices, cocktails, beers. Have yet to meet something smoked I don't like.

"Go to" snack is fresh popped corn (in olive oil) topped with a goodly amount of Goya Adobo seasoning.

Our corn popper is vintage, a shower gift to my parents circa 1955. Still poppin' after all these years. I affectionately call it "Sparky." LOL.

Tony’s Creole
I've always found that Tony C's has too much salt relative to the other ingredients and I'd have to add more of everything else. I switched to McCormick's Cajun seasoning plus cayenne and MSG. It lets me control the salt level much better.

any habanero-flavored hot sauce. on egg sandwiches preferrably also with scrapple or bacon, on omelettes, any lunch sandwich, wrap or salad, and on any protein dinner. haven't tried on desserts yet, but you got me thinking I should try it.

That worked for me for years. Now I’m in physical therapy to fix the damage I did to my left shoulder. 🤬

I don’t add much to food, but somehow Trader Joe’s everything bagel mix gets good use.

As for deserts, melted toblerone is awesome. You’re welcome.

Mire used to be an All Purpose Seasoning from a local company called Gut-n-tag. Sadly they went out of business and my stock pile has been depleted.

Here's my deal. If I eat after dinner and sleep on my right side I'll possibly barf as I sleep. If I sleep on my right side I won't barf but I also have some age related spinal issues in my neck so my arm might go numb. If I sleep on my back I snore a lot an have occasional apnea. Any sleeping on my stomach results in neck and back pain. LOL.

So very limited eating after dinner and I need a special configuration of pillows to get relief from neck pain. Or I'll learn to hang by my feet in the closet.

It's nuts. LOL.

Wife uses this all the time. And not just because her Grandfather was the first General Manager of Podravka.

Hot sauce on ice cream??? I am intrigued and must try this.

When I was at Rutgers, one of my hockey teammates was making this sauce that was I believe his uncle's recipe and was for the most part crushed red pepper in some sort of hot sauce. He was hoping to eventually get it in stores but I think after graduating his career took off quickly and the sauce took a back seat. I loved it though, I remember even enjoying it on chocolate bars in my dorm.

Goya Adobo, I put in on scrambled eggsand pork chops. Sofrito in Pernil (Pulled Pork Puerto Rican style). I will never eat pulled pork with barbecue sauce again it’s that good.

Pernil is the real deal. There are a bunch of Puerto Rican restaurants that make dynamite pernil in and around Phily.
