Anyone go? I went to the Saturday afternoon session and I have to say for a first time event it was well done. The plastic mugs were a little disappointing and small but the selection of breweries was really good. Most of which were from NJ and I like when the actual employees or owners are there pouring, its nice to hear their stories. $40 for 4 hours of unlimited beer drinking is a pretty good deal. One of my favorites was Lunacy Brewing, they have only been around a few months and are in the Cherry Hill area.

Leinenkugel was also there, they have a new summer shandy made with grapefruit. Sounds nasty but my wife and I both loved it. It smelled great and was a nice change of pace especially on a hot summer day. While i love my IPA's if you are at a picnic or doing some day drinking, you don't necessarily want to be drinking an 8% beer all day long.

Hopefully they make it an annual event, I would go back.

dude... you should've totally posted about this before the event

I actually only found out about it the day before. They had 3 sessions, 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday, 4 hours each. We went Saturday afternoon and the crowd size was perfect. Just enough people to make it fun, and not too many people where you had to wait more than a minute to get some beer.

For anyone interested there is a Craft Beer Festival aboard the Battleship New Jersey which is scheduled for Saturday June 27th. There will over 20 breweries represented and the battleship is a very cool location for a beer fest. You can find more info at http://getfreshinnj.ticketleap.com/battleshipnj
