** LET'S UPDATE AS THE WINTER/SPRING MOVES ALONG!

Men's Golf
- wins 1st match of the spring defeating Michigan in the Opening Round of the Big Ten Match Play Tournament 3.5 to 2.5. CONGRATS! The team then fell to Michigan State, 4.5 to 1.5 and plays Indiana today in the final match of "round robin" play. 2-1 will, obviously, get the guys a better spot in the finals.

Women's Lax - rolled 'Nova yesterday 14-8. Very nice start for the ladies! CONGRATS!

Gymnastics - the ladies are struggling a bit this year, in the "W" column, after a very good 2014-15 season, but IIRC lost a couple of very experienced stars and it seems as though they're scoring better and better as the season moves along which is obviously a good sign for next season. They're still selling out their home meets, with the match against Temple on the 20th already announced as such, another great sign for this program IMHO.

Men's Winter Track - just won the METS, capturing 8 titles and posting 11 IC4A qualifying marks, while Corey Crawford continues to jump his way back into national finalist form of 2 years ago! They'e got The Valentine Invitational at BU this week, then the Millrose Games prior to the B1G's. Looks like we're going to have a shot to earn some points for The Director's Cup as well.

(I'll be back to finish....thx)

Thanks for these updates. I know all this stuff is readily available but sometimes I'm too lazy to check things out or just forget to do it.

Periodic updates, especially positive ones, are greatly appreciated. I think somewhere there might be a note of thanks for Julie in helping some of the Olympic sports to develop further. Perhsps that is or may be her niche. Thanks again Nuts.

SK.com is your friend for information like this. I should check it more often than I do.

Women's Lax - lose to Monmouth, once again, 12-10. This really needs to end (losing to Monmouth, in any and pretty much every sport) immediately if not sooner.

I love Olympic sports updates! thanks for doing these. its much more informative than reading 2000 OT topics on the football board. I think I need to peek at this board more often!

** unfortunately we lost a lot of DC points, and a potential national title for true frosh Izaiah Brown, B1G 400M champ, as he sustained an injury recently was unable to compete at the finals. I believe he had the nation's 3rd best time this year going into the NCAA's. Here's to a speedy recover and national title this spring!

Women's Track and Field (Indoor)

Gabrielle Farquharson places 4th and earns her 4th 2nd team AA in the women's
