Four starters – left tackle Keith Lumpkin, left guard Dorian Miller, center Derrick Nelson and right guard Chris Muller – are listed on the injury report ahead of Saturday's noon game at Army.
Only right tackle J.J. Denman, whose struggles have been the most obvious along the line, received a clean bill of health.
Nelson and Miller are questionable after they were involved in a helmet-to-helmet collision in the final minute of the 31-14 loss to Nebraska.
"Not only are Derrick and Dorian questionable for the game, but they are also our first- and third-team centers," coach Kyle Flood said. "And Chris Muller is our second-team center, and so when all three of those guys are in the game, and something like this happens we have to make sure we are starting to train other people – and we started that process (Sunday) night.
"We'll make a decision (Tuesday) when we see some of these guys as to who is the going to take the reps in practice. But putting the right guy at center is the first priority, and then we'll put the pieces together at guard and tackle.
