Our OL --Beyond Dinged Up

Well, I care what we hear out of camp. It's nice to hear good things about some of the players that we haven't seen yet. Personally I'd like to hear a lot more of it.

Bottom line is your hearing a lot of bullshit. Haven't you realized that yet? We hear this guy is great in that guy is great and this guy is looking fantastic and that guy looking fantastic, then you don't even see him in games, or when they are in games, they look awful. It's all to appease the fan base and create good feelings. Is why I laugh when people watch us, in the spring game against ourselves, and think that we're going to go 10-2 because of it.

Don't get me wrong, we all want to feel good about a team going into the season, no question, but you have to know what to take with a grain of salt in the ore-season sometimes, because were only going up against ourselves, you know what I mean?

It's a shame the Nebraska CB didn't just take a knee with the game well in hand. Not blaming his actions, but we could have avoided this whole situation...

Injuries happen when you play football, or any sport for that matter...it's nobody's fault.

Really??? You are going to say that two players in the heat of a play are going to think "I have to tilt my head this way so I don't knock heads with my fellow player who is coming at me at a certain angle and I need to adjust my head 20 degrees to my left as coach taught me"

You lose all credibility with post like that.
Really. Please tell me what year you played for Rutgers.

So, I can gather with your very mature post you must have played football at one time. I can also gather that only people that actually played college football know everything about the game, no one else should then post about it.

Second if you did play college football your post is even more embarrassing. Injuries happen in football, you must know that and two players lunging for a tackle hitting each in an awkward position probably happens 10 times a game. Truthfully that is where a lot of injuries happen.

Third , it is Floods fault? Schiano mustn't have done a great job, I can name one tragic injury.

No your the expert please tell me why as a total has Flood's teams had more injuries?
Like others on this thread you failed to comprehend the entire thread but that doesn't surprise me. This is not about a player or two players this us about the current program.
And way to be classy bringing up the EL tragedy. You must be proud of that zinger!

It has become apparent to me after 15 years or so around here that we are much better at misery than bliss .Not that we have had much of it to really compare...:sunglasses:

We heard about how Turay was destroying the RU OL in practice; to the point where they took him off the field so that the offense could function. The takeaway? Judging from the way Turay has played this year, his wrecking crew act in practice was a reflection of how bad the OL really was. They've been overmatched all year.

You mean the offense can't function if there is pressure from the defense? I'm so confused. Almost everyone on this board has been writing recently that the QB's lack of production lately could not be even slightly attributed to the quality of the defense or the lack of ability of the OL.

I'll just keep reading. Someone has to get it right some time.[/QUOTE]

Vk, if we remained "quite healthy", then why have I been hearing about all of these 'injuries' affecting our performance this year (Carroo, Turay, James, etc)?

Joe P.

Many of the injuries to our skill position guys are due to the QB hanging them out to dry.

Blaming the CB? Might as well blame laviano for throwing the pick.

As for Turay being a beast on practice... Apparently our offense just wasn't up to snuff. BTW, our defense isn't either.

Once again you're making shit up. Nobody is saying we haven't played top-flights D's, or that the OL isn't lacking in ability. NOBODY.
