In the the last minute and a half last night Dylan was on Sears and completely shut him down and then for some reason coming out of the last Alabama TO they put Derkack on him and of course Sears shook free from him very easily
First not sure that anyone commented on this move which was terrible coaching decision
Also it’s obvious that Dylan could also be a lock down defender but asking him to shoulder the load on offense and playing the other teams top player is just way too much and would completely exhaust him

Agree with everything you said.

I noted DH's lockdown defense on Sears over the last several minutes a couple of times, but didn't explicitly note Derkack covering Sears on the last possession, but it did make me wonder. Harper can do anything.

Harper also playing lockdown D on Sears. What can't he do?

Well, Dylan was the best player on the floor against a potential FF team that plays very good defense and they threw a lot at him tonight, but he was able to still get and convert his shots. 8-9 FG and 9-9 FTs in the 2nd half, plus covering Sears over the last 6 minutes and shutting him down might is probably the best half I've ever seen from an RU player or any player possibly. 37 against Bama is extraordinary.

Was also great to see Bailey play well against a very good team, scoring in all kinds of ways - just wish we had gotten him the ball more in the last 10 minutes, especially after he hit that trey. When we play well, we can play with anyone, so I'm much more hopeful of being an NCAA team now than I was after the Kennesaw debacle and if our complementary guys can get better (there is potential there) and Harper/Bailey continue to play well, we're going to be a team nobody wants to play.

So far it looks like that could be this season's theme...Harper can do anything.
