Pacheco reportedly fractures fibula

Surprise Good News Emerges Following Isiah Pacheco’s Surgery

Certainly good news that it's a fractured fibula (and not a full break) and that there was no apparent ligament damage, but I am a bit curious on the exact injury to the fibula, since I had a fractured fibula and had no surgery and was 100% in 6 weeks (after 4 weeks in a cast) - I wonder if surgery is more common now than it was 40 years ago or if his fracture was more complex than mine.

I was wondering why the surgery too. With bad compound breaks they will screw the bone together with a plate, but a simple fracture I didn't think they did surgery. Maybe it is more stable and heals faster with surgery. He'll be back on his feet in no time.

"Surprise Good News" yesterday (out just 6-8 weeks) and "Grim Update" today (no timetable for his return and possibly out all season, at least). So, perhaps my concern about him having surgery was real. We need some medical input here (although my guess is we simply don't have enough intel to make informed assessments of IP's situation).

Would really need to know exactly what the x-rays show and a good orthopaedic assessment. I'm skeptical as this isn't just a fracture for a common individual. It's a bruising RB who runs, cuts, twists, jumps and takes hits from 300+ defenders...

If anything, this injury may help display how useful Pacheco is to the balance of their offense. Hopefully KC rips up his contract next summer and pays him $5-6M a year for the next 3 yrs.
I had to break my self ban just to laugh at your posts here. And YOU know what I am talking about .... you should never speak of his success or value in the NFL. Not until you re-visit those posts and admit how wrong your were. (sorry, you may be a decent dude but those prior comments still piss me off).

I saw my first Tesla truck on the road today.
Its a good fit for Pacheco - built like a tank with best acceleration of any truck (Car and Driver hit 60 mph in 2.6 seconds)
