I noticed something Saturday morning that astounded me. This was early before most had arrived. At least 25 - 50 cars in the yellow lot, with yellow lot tags on their mirrors, belong to the parking attendants.

Considering how much you must donate, and the priority points required, to get into the yellow lot, shouldn't the parking staff leave their vehicles at the RAC and use a shuttle van?

Umm, I'd think they get those passes to identify their car to get to their jobs.

Just sayin'

Huh?
They parked their cars in the lot. All of them were parked to the rear of the lot before most paying customers arrived.
They could easily park at the RAC and use a shuttle van to drop them off at their respective lots.

It doesn't matter how full the lot was.
They only have so many passes. If some are given to parking attendants then that is a damn shame while donating fans are bumped to the next lot down the line. This does not only impact Yellow. If you were bumped from Purple to Black it's just as relevant.

Holy shit. Did you email Dan Duggan??

What kind of conspiracy is this that they are giving desirable parking to people working the game -- mere employees!! Dreck of their sort shouldn't even get a shuttle bus. They should be given parking by the Livingston gym and required to run to their assigned lot. Anyone caught walking should be fired on the spot. As for parking, they shouldn't even get spots out in the open...they should be assigned to spots under the trees so they get sap and bird crap on their hoods.

I think this is one of those cases where the circumstances of the week dictate our response. I could be mistaken but I'm sure last week most people that commented on a similar thread thought they should be at the RAC. Shows how perspective can change quickly (and rightly so). I'd search for the other thread but I keep getting an error message.

Really?

It costs $1000 plus 60-some points to get a yellow pass.
Every yellow space (pass) taken by an attendant bumps someone to Blue, which bumps someone else to Purple, and down the line until someone is bumped to the RAC.
There is nothing wrong with parking staff such as this at the RAC or elsewhere and using a shuttle bus. They are not going to the game. They are employees of a third party company that handles event parking.

Email Duggan? He reads this board for story ideas: we'll be seeing this shortly from yellowrag.com, er, nj.com. And by this evening they'll have picked it up on ESPN and CBS Sports! Oh my god, the SCANDAL!

Just having a little fun with you. I do get the complaint. Perhaps they should find some other lot on Busch to take over for the staff -- out by the student center or something, but then again, I can see why they don't want the employees to have to walk like that. At the very least they could be put in the flag lot on blue (behind Yurcak). And I do say this as someone who got bumped this year.

Unless your a parking lot attendant. Then you get paid to park there. This looks like it burns you up huh?
