It is odd that everyone remembers The Brady Bunch but the Partridge Family routinely beat it in ratings... on the same network, same night.. iirc.

I think reruns is where the Brady Bunch overtook the Partridge Family. PF may have been more intelligent of a show but the Bradys became iconic

I watched both shows growing up. However, I don't think "intelligent" was ever a definition for either.

I do think Danny Bonaduce made one of the most intelligent quotes about child stardom. He said, "People are wrong when they talk about how bad it is to be a child star. It's the best thing in the world. Being an ex-child star is what sucks."
