With the Jets coming to scrimmage at Rutgers which should bring in thousands of people who have never set foot in the campus of their State University before,I wonder if Pat Hobbs has looked into doing something similar with the 76,ers,Nets,or Knicks. With the 76ers being one of the hottest and most popular teams in the country with the kids,I would think this could come close to a full house at The RAC.

Not sure the situations are similar. To the casual observer who might have never been to Rutgers, the football Stadium and other football facilities are really a hidden gem, and getting thousands of "new" people into the Stadium/practice facility/Hale Center would likely open eyes to what we have here (in a positive way).

I doubt that there would be that kind of impact by getting people to visit the RAC. As much as we love the RAC as a college basketball venue, it truly IS a glorified high school gym. So I'm not sure there is much to be gained by attracting casual fans to the RAC, although, if they gave a tour of the Barnabas Center being built next store, that could change people's thoughts.

The Hornets held their preseason workouts at the UNC Asheville campus for a few years. They practiced at the Sherrill Center which is certainly nothing to brag about

Man. I completely agree with this. Bring in the 76ers

They could probably have a preseason game at the RAC. They’ve done small venue preseason games in the recent past in AC

Preseason or host an open practice or something. There would be genuine interest

Unless it's free I cannot see a decent sized crowd showing up.

Agree with BG----open practice the best option----a game they have to charge

Disagree. I think preseason game (especially if both teams are Knicks, Nets or 76ers) would be a huge success. NJ is a big basketball area and fans from North and south NJ would come to Central NJ as it’s easier than heading into the city for one day.
