No holding calls the whole game.. played into PSU's hands. Slightly better than last week where the refs only saw Rutgers penalties.. but still.. they were allowed and awful lot of grabbing outside the numbers. We need some coaches who will see how the game is being called and tell the OL to act accordingly. I do not know if our guys would be given the same latitude.. but would have liked to see them try.
We were blown so far off the line of scrimmage they didn't need to hold, Joseph never invaded PSU territory.

There are MANY things we could have at least TRIED schematically to slow down the rush. How about moving the launch point once in a while? How about a waggle or bootleg? Early screens? Draws? Quick game between the hashes? Slant/flat combo against cover-3?

Both Temple and Buffalo did a real nice job on delayed draws vs PSU. I guess our coaches some how missed that in viewing the tape.
our lines have been getting worse ever since Schiano's departure. it will only get worse. this is what happens when you don't win recruiting battles.
It's also what happens when below average OL coaches fail to develop players. This team hasn't had a decent OL since 2008.
what good is that if they are not developed? OL takes longest to develop. KF failed as a OL coach. i firmly believe he would have gotten canned if Schiano did not leave.
