Poor coaching tonight. Pike did nothing but watch as RU ran no offense all first half, just dribbling one on one, turning it over and chucking up bricks from the perimeter. Better adjustment by halftime, but too little too late.

Carter’s minutes should go to Duke since he’s got 2 more years. Wish we had another Myles. The kid is becoming a beast. Young is an enigma. So much talent and he’s been very bad. I know there’s a lot of rust, but if it doesn’t shake off soon, he needs to sit too.

You’re right, No offensive flow for entire game with 3 days to prep is on Coach. Way too much dribbling and one on one settling for 3s late in clock

What talent? He's really quick. That's it.

Shouldn’t have yanked McConnell and Harper early and not enough Mathis the last 15 minutes

Totally agree. What the hell was that? The team looked so out of sorts and had no real offensive plays. The stood outside on the perimeter with Johnson down low and hoped, hoped, somebody anybody would hit from the outside which of course they didn't.

What kind of $hit are we watching now? Right now this is NOT a well coached team. Pikiell, get your $hit together man.

Have to disagree on Duke. He looks like a deer in the headlights every time he’s out there. Can’t shoot, often travels, never kicks the ball out of the post, commits dumb fouls, etc. He’s a recruiting miss plain and simple

I'm starting to think 7 wins is our ceiling in this conference for Pike. His players just aren't good enough and his offensive system is just bad.

McConnell 2 fouls early he had to come out...he also struggled.

Young appears to be a whiff and Mulcahy struggled tonight as well.

Not a good combination for those 3.

Agree though, very bad game for Pike. Have to find a way to settle your team down, not turn the ball over and run some damn plays in the first half.

Watching his last few games at TX I saw a lot of talent. Haven’t really seen it in an RU uniform despite the glowing reports from practice.

I give Mulcahy a pass tonight as a true freshman in his first road game in a hostile environment. He looked like a deer in the headlights. Hopefully he grows from this.

We’ll see how the year progresses, but I gotta say between recruiting and game management, I’m starting to worry a bit about Pike. Love the guy, so hate to say it, but I’m concerned. Hope I’m wrong.

I feel the same way. Let’s hope he can land Cliff Omuruyi!

Is McConnell ill?
Carter, Young, McConnell, Mulcahy could easily have stayed home....
I can't argue with any of that. And you should put Baker in that category, because he was awful tonight.

Lost in all this negativity is Myles Johnson, who played great and is starting to look like a big-time Big 10 center. Let’s hope his progression continues. He’s got a huge ceiling.

He's was the only bright spot tonight.

Would love to see Pike stop being mister nice guy on the sidelines all the time. Once in a while get a little pissed off at his team, the refs, whatever. I wonder if the team is taking on his personality which isn't helping if that's the case.
