Pike wasn't shy about riding people 37 minutes per game in the past. There's no point to doing that with this team.
Probably "I wish I could get on the court so we can score some points"
cliff should be playing 35 minutes a game and that he took only 5 shots is criminal, of course 4 years into this cliff still hasnt been taught to pass out of a double team
Who on this team is earning 40 minutes?
If everyone is stinking it up on the court, why wouldn't Pike at least try the bench?

Why should Cliff play 35 minutes a game, especially if we are not completely in "win now" mode?
I'll bet if you were in pike's shoes OR had a long conversation with Pike you would understand. I don't know the exact reason why Oskar was in over Hyatt or Mag, but I am extremely confident it was for a good reason and with good intention.
penn state was abysmal early
RU should have been up 15-3. we started out that way, I thought this is a game we are going to just jump on them and thats that. we left so many points on the table and Oskar being in that early was criminal
we went from 6-3 to 12-5 with that complete 2nd unit. Every unit failed to score. If RU was a bad offense we would have been up 10 at half. it took playing offense like a 7th grade C travel team to be down like we were.
No one should escape criticism from last night.
Wolf is like a backup catcher...we aren't losing because Woolf is killing us. Our 1b,3b,DH,lf and RF are all batting .220, they never walk and occasionally they hit a HR but their slugging percentage in under .375
There is no good reason to play Oskar over Hyatt and Mag even if they were not giving you anything up to that point. Oskar does not have the speed or agility to play against most athletic players every night and his ball handling is atrocious . If he is not knocking down an open three, he missed another one last night , he adds no value. Zero. Pike ‘s lineups and substitutions are part of the problem this year. Playing Oskar extended minutes last night and every night is a huge red flag . I do not care what Pike would say . He would be dead wrong.
But you do not know if the 6-3 would have been extended to 20-5 if he kept his starters in for 8 straight minutes. Penn State was pathetic enough in the first 8 minutes to allow that to occur and Pike did not let his starters accomplish it. Now we could argue over who should be starters but he has chosen this group for the last 5 games.
So what do you do at the 12 minute mark and all of your starters have been in there for 8 minutes?
I can't believe we fans killing the coach after putting a unit that took the the lead from 3 to 7 saying that it should have been more than 7.
