What DOES the coaching staff see in him that is MARKEDLY better than Rettig, when the race between the two was even (and Bobby even suggested Rettig is way ahead)? At this point, what do we have to lose? It's not as if we have a defense to fall back on at this point. Does FLood just know he's gone at the end of the year and wants to be "nice" to the guy who has been there longer? To save what remains of his reputation as someone who's nice? I'm starting to think that, because for the life of me I can't understand. This is not to bash Laviano - maybe his mobility could lead to a "Jabu package" (long-time followers of the team know what I'm talking about) that would give team something to prepare for.
I'm just so disillusioned right now.
