Why is it that our fan base is more concerned with the pageantry and tradition (lack of) when we should be concerned about performance on the field? I would rather have the dullest game day and a winning team then a bunch of hymn chatting d-bags standing around a team pretending to proudly walk through its fan base that thinks it is close to being on par with OSU and others. I want to WIN, nothing more. If we have NO tradition other than winning I am fine with it. Others may want something more, but I would be happy with quiet quality wins.Make the other teams fear our winning, not a Haiku or Scarlet Walk.

Tradition and on-field performance is not a zero sum relationship. Obviously we all want the team to win, but discussing ancillary parts of the gameday experience has no effect on the on-field performance.

I thought that fans focusing solely on the game was of paramount importance if RU were to win. I know I've heard it somewhere. Maybe here?
