Positive RU Hoops Article in the NY Post!!!

That is a rhetorical question isn't it?

It's a long weekend but i don't think the timing is that off....to stay relevant as a reporter, it's always good to add content weekly and you have 3 programs in the area that can generate content (RU, St Johns Seton Hall).

While Zach B. is a definite Johnnies homer, any article is a good one when it highlights the improvement of the program.

Just seeing a kid who made first team All-State going to RU is great . Nice article.

Any article from a NY paper on any college local BB team is a plus. I think although he is a St. johns guy he dose a good job covering and writing local BB articles.

Because they don't really need to. Every recruit has had an article on nj.com all along. The N.Y. papers just do a check-up every once in a while.

Believe me, if that was the only coverage nj.com gave, you would be fuming. You think the Post had a blurb every time somebody committed to Rutgers ever?
For me the difference is NJ.com versus the NY post.
It was the positive nature of the article I applauded. As for frequency you are right the NY papers only do a flyover on RU occasionally.

I’m being picky but since both Harper and Mulcahy are either 3 or 4 star players, depending on the service, it would have been nice if at least one of them was cited as a 4 Star. Perception does matter.
It is frustrating that even when it is a good article it doesn't highlight the 4 star. For a casual fan or maybe even not a fan reads the article the 4 star vs 3 star perception would have an impact on just how well the turnaround is going. I actually emailed the author just to point it out

I love how we can take a nice article and analyze it to the point that it has lost all meaning and good faith!
