Looks like Rutgers comes in at #16 in the US Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Rankings....

As expected, the BigTen is loaded...

They have Umass at 14 which is a bit puzzling...I watched RU handle them pretty well up in Toronto 60 days ago in the fall game...but whatever...

Other notables that will play @ Rutgers this year...

#1 PSU
#7 Syracuse
#8 Hopkins
#12 OSU

A couple notable early season road games in Feb...

#20 Army
#15 Loyola

Anyway, there you go for a little teaser...Season is just around the corner

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year to all of you guys...Enjoy!

I'm sure this thread will get a few of the die hard lacrosse fans going here...it's fun to talk about...

Cheers!

I saw the IL rankings...again, we pounded Umass and were up on GTown by 8 goals in St. Louis at the end of the third qtr...we emptied the bench and the game got tight...this past fall that is...

Yet IL has both GTown and Umass ranked and no RU...not sold on the IL rankings on that fact alone...

With that said, preseason rankings don't mean a ton right...and second, we play a lot of the teams ranked in and around and ahead of us...so it will shake out on the field...

If RU can start off by beating Quinnipiac, St John's and then Army...this team will be ranked in the low teens in both polls as they prepare to head to Ridley Stadium in Baltimore to take on Loyola...Feb 22...I'll be there :)

Should be interesting...

I don't put a lot into fall ball scores. I more like to see how we match up athletically and physically. However, that Umass game was an eye opener. We ran over them in every way possible.

Preseason rankings are always crapshoot after the first couple of teams. We are going to be better than that ranking if we stay healthy.
