I know the game is a few days ago, but I haven't been able to bring myself to the boards after attending the PSU game. I saw the thread on the PSU Lion Roar, and agreed that it was annoying and overdone.
One other thing that I didn't see addressed in other posts was the PSU announcer etiquette. There were a number of RU offensive plays where super loud music or announcer speak was occurring with only 10-15 seconds left on our play clock. I'm all for the PSU crowd to be as loud as possible to screw with the opposing team's psyche, but I think it's bad etiquette and unfair for the stadium to be playing music or the announcer yelling over the loudspeaker. I'm pretty sure our stadium has more class in that regard.
And one more annoying thing - 10 seconds left on the play clock, and instead of showing the field on the big screens, they show random crowd shots! I'm up in the friggin' top section NKU (10 rows from the highest point in the stadium, with Rutgers on the offense on their 1 yd line in the opposite end zone, and they can't put the teams on the screen? And when they do show the field, they go for a psychedelic zoom in/zoom out (repeatedly) shot on the screen. What, do they have teenagers manning the cameras? Sheesh, how unprofessional!!!
OK, I'm done, and I feel better.
