1) Don’t forget PSU is one of the hottest teams in the league right now. The fact that we spotted them 20 and battled back to lose a heartbreaker says something about this team. Take into account Geo not having his best game and it makes things doubly impressive.

2) We know who our best 5 are. Our best 5 imo recently has been Geo, Caleb, Ron, Gene and Myles. That lineup is so so so good. Caleb and ron are sharp shooters when open from 3, both rebound extremely well for back court guys and both play pretty damn solid defense, not to mention theyre two of our best foul shooters. Geo might not have had his best game tonight but he knows spacing and runs the offense very well. You saw tonight whenever he was out how psu went on little runs.

3) Ron Harper needs to play 30 minutes a night. What doesnt he do well? Runs the floor, rebounds, plays D, our best shooter and now hes shooting with confidence and DRILLING shots with guys closing out hard and coming from behind. Hes always in the right place at the right time. A serious argument can be made that hes our best player.

4) How about 2 true freshman hitting pressure timely 3’s? Caleb and ron not only hit 3’s but they hit them at critical times where the game couldve slipped away. These two guys have ice in their veins. Also how about caleb penetrating and drawing the ENTIRE psu team on the last possession and dishing a B-E-A-Utiful dime to Myles who fumbled the rock. If myles can gather that its a game winning dunk. Man oh mannnn is the ceiling high for these two.

5) Hated the shot selection on the last possession. Geo wanted to be the hero and after the pump fake erased one defender, another simple head fake and he couldve penetrated 5 on 3 and gotten an easy bucket or kicked it to ron for a wide open 3. I think some will be too hard on geo tonight, i think theres alot of little things he did that dont go in the box score but his last 2 possession shot selection was just awful. As this team grows, we win this game and get a better last couple possessions from geo

Bottom line, we all know this, the future is bright and we have expectations coming into 2019-2020 season

agree with everything. I dont think that last shot was the patented Geo step back 3, something looked off on it. Where was Gene on that last possesion play?

Spot on as usual.

2) Couldn't agree more. This lineup needs more minutes together. Would be interested to see how many minutes and the +/- of that lineup from the board stat geeks. If someone has that and can post that would be very interesting to see. Especially when we are struggling to score, that should be the go to lineup.

3) Harper is freaking awesome. Stepping into those 3's with confidence and elevating on the shot too at his size means he can get that shot off. How about that freaking block at the rim! An awesome little mid range pull up off the back board. He can score in a variety of ways

4) yes yes and yes. It's nice to actually expect the 3's are going in when these guys get open looks. That dish was so nice. Caleb does have a bunch of really good passes this season. He has good vision and he's long finishing at the rim. He just needs to be more aggressive. He struggles when he is timid and unsure and just dribbling up top. When he is in attack mode he is so good.

5) Looked like he could have went around the defenders flying out at him or swung the ball there. Could have also probably drew a foul if he just head faked as the defenders were flying out at him expecting that step back. When you haven't made a bucket all game and you don't need a three take the ball to the basketttt

This is going to be the longest off season everrrrr

Agreed, id love to know what their +/- is together

Spot on OP.

Really liked your first point. It seems every post game comment is about what we did wrong and nothing about what they did right.

Their guards stymied ours In the first half. They played some of the best on ball defense I’ve seen this year. When our guards could penetrate, Watkins shut down the middle and was a force. The fact we came out as flat as we did and got back in that game was impressive.

One thing to add. I thought the best play of the night was Kiss jumping so high to tap the ball to Myles for an easy dunk. He must’ve been 12 feet in the air to get to the ball. It was a huge swing and changed the momentum of the final push. Incredible.

Heartbreaker last night. Maybe easier to take because of the halftime score and it didn’t look close to winnable. But still sucks because we had the opportunity. Reminded me of how poorly we played at Seton Hall in the first half.

Whatever happens Sunday, I’m very happy with what we accomplished in what I’m calling the first real year of the pikiell era. We will build on this and be in post season play next year.

Agree that was a huge play. I would add the Gene strip of Stevens(?) at the end to give us the ball for that final possession, still down only one point.
