it was very apparent that rutgers was not going to come out on top last night, but i wanted to leave the stadium when flood punted on 4th and 2 from the OSU 40 in the second quarter. let's be serious - we're not stopping OSU whether they are on their 40 or their 3 yard line. what have you got to lose? do you know how lesser teams beat juggernauts? by playing like they have nothing to lose!
i feel like we saw some misdirection on that first drive, some throws downfield...and then it stopped. paul james just started running into his blockers. laviano started throwing to the out route on the line of scrimmage on third and long.
i understand that there is an insurmountable talent gap in play, but we played scared as hell last night. no reason that northern illinois, maryland, and indiana should play OSU reasonably tough but we can't, especially at night on our home field.
