Out of Curiosity, Why was the move made to put Lacrosse in HPSS when attendance averages about 1,500 according to last years NCAA Stats

Seems much more fitting to put it at Yucak A stadium named after a Lacrosse Player....no.

Was their a logistical reason?

This is not a flame, but a legitimate question. It just makes no sense.

The lacrosse team has already played two games. Grass in New Jersey doesn't really begin to root and take hold until April. For that reason Yurcak is not an option until then when half the season is over. Previously, they played on the practice turf by the white lot. Most high school fields are nicer than that dump. Nice to buy a cold pretzel and piss in a freezing outbhouse. Embarrassment is a generous description. While the stadium is obviously oversized, the field/scoreboard/facilities are top notch.

The stadium was the best move at the time, but the more we play there the more of a home field advantage it has become, open seats notwithstanding. Going back to OSU of 15 we are undefeated there.

It's a pretty cool experience for a lacrosse game. Other B1G schools play in their football stadiums too, outside of PSU and soon to be Michigan I believe.

Hoping we can get 5k to the Brown game since are offering free admission and shuttle to the game from the RAC after basketball. If we get weather like Saturday or 70s as predicted for this week we very well might get it.

That would be great. Brown has a nice fan base, I wouldn't be surprised to see them travel better than most of our other opponents.

First things first though. Fairfield away is going to be a challenge.

Brown is going to be very hard as it is the first Saturday of Practice for HS in NJ and many of them are having a longer practice or double sessions. I do not know about GEF but I will not be there as we are going 11-2 and then 3-5. We have to share with the girls and they get to go early. I spoke to someone about either making the fields near the stadium available for school to practice and then go see the game but that was a no go.

I said that from the get go.

Really wish it was here instead of there. Since they dropped the sport they made their football stadium for LAX.

One thing I do not like about the football stadiums is having the football lines on the field for lax games. It plays so much better without them.

Didn't see that they were offering free admission and a shuttle. That's great! When the original Lax schedule came out, the game was @ 1pm, which was in conflict with the hoops game. Was thinking what a shame to have competing activities. This move is great!!

Been to game at both Yucak & HPSS - understand about the stadium being empty, but the vibe w/ HPSS (tailgating, video board, etc.) is much better. Now let's pack it for Brown!!!

It would be great if RU had a 5k seat turf stadium for the LAX and Soccer teams to play on when the grass at Yurcak can't be used.

In the Rutgers 2030 there is such a thing in the works on Livi next to the softball stadium. When we start making $50 MIL instead of $11 MIL in 3 years, a lot of that money can help go to building facilities like our opponents do.

I will not be there. We go 9 to 12, have our kick off luncheon, and then chalk talk after. Same deal with us and the turf. Track and girls lax are on before us. I think we will be at the OSU game as a team.
